2019 Opalessence - Red Blend
PLATINUM MEDAL WINNER | 94 PTS | 2024 San Diego International Wine and Spirits Challenge
The Malbec handpicked from 4 short rows on top of a terraced hillside, with its own micro climate, adds a soft texture and mouthfeel, as well as some plum and blackberry. Petit Verdot adds to the deep dark hue. Previously characterized as fruit forward due to the hillside Cab predominating but balanced red berries do come across the palate. Like our previous 91 point, 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon with Malbec, this wine is likely to be full bodied and very food friendly.
Food Pairing: grilled vegetables, roasted poultry, hearty pastas
