2020 Tilden
Lovingly named after our granddaughter, this wine has been a favorite among our guests for its balanced profile and versatility at the table. From our terraced hillside block, this blend of 2/3 Grenache and 1/3 Tempranillo offers a delightful harmony of flavors. The Grenache imparts subtle notes of ripe red raspberry and cherry, beautifully complemented by the deep, plummy complexity of our Estate Tempranillo. These grapes are handpicked from head-trained vines situated near our winery’s Event Center, ensuring exceptional quality.
Tempranillo, often harvested in August, benefits from a robust canopy of leaves that shields the fruit from sun damage and birds, preserving its rich character. The result is a "big" wine with a touch of spice on the nose, perfect for pairing with food.
Food Pairing: Korean ribs, Bratwurst, spicy chicken wings, German potato salad, spicy and herb flavored dishes: Blend of 67% Grenache / 33% Tempranillo
